Four Stages of Villain Stories

惡人故事的四個階段 (中文版請點此連結)

We all need good villain stories in our lives. This is the never-ending human game that gives our everyday life a full spectrum of colors.

Imagine, if everything in your everyday life is always exactly the way you wanted, it will get pretty boring. Nothing is challenging anymore.  Challenges in life and overcoming the challenges is the game of life. When you use all of your resources to overcome a challenge, you feel empowered, you feel joy, you feel validated, you feel happy, you feel so many different feel good emotions. And these feel good emotions needed darker shades, the contrast in life, to bring out their sparkles.

When things don't go the way we wanted, there is someone to blame. When people treat us poorly, They are not treating us the way we wanted them to. We have a case of a villain story!

There is no judgement about any villain story.

When you tell a villain story, observe yourself how you tell it.

What kind of position did you choose when you tell your villain story?

What are you passionate about this story?

What did you do about the situation?

There are four stages of human experiences when facing a villain.

Villain and the Victim

Victim, is one who chooses to do nothing about the situation.  Victim tells the story yet takes no action.  Why? everyone is different.

A victim may not know he/she can do anything about the situation.

A victim may choose to do nothing about the situation because he/she has some kind of reward to not do anything about the situation.  Maybe being a victim is a safe place to be. Maybe being a victim can help them get love and attention. Maybe telling a victim story is the only way they connect with people. Maybe being a victim make themselves somehow feel superior than the villain. Whatever the case is, victim remains to be a victim.

The prominent feeling of a victim is blame(calibration30), apathy(50), shame(20), grief(75),  and fear(100). These feelings all calibrate lower than 100 on the map of consciousness.

Villain and the Warrior

When a victim got tired of the situation, he/she begin to desire (125) to change. Maybe it is to "fight back". Fighting back is to do something to change the situation. whether verbally fight back, physically fight back, or mentally fight back, to walk away from the situation, this victim is now a warrior.  Warrior usually find power in their anger(150), resentment, hate(150), and they start to feel proud(175) when they fight back or walk away. Even if they demand (175) the villain to make changes so that warrior can feel better about the situation, Their calibration is still at 200 and below. They may have a brief moment of courage(200) to overcome their fear.

At this point, warrior's emotional state still rely greatly upon the external situation. He/she needs to win to feel good. He/she needs to defeat the villain to feel accomplished. "The villain must comply" or else the warrior is unhappy.

Villain and the Zen Master

When a warrior finally realized the external support of his emotional state never really last very long, he then begins searching.

Warrior may become a Zen master when he/she realizes that the internal experience is independent from the external world. When he/she sees the possibility (feasible, 200) of changing the internal world to form a different experience, he/she can then possesses the ability to empower (200) from within.

Zen master uses his internal process, releases (200) the need to make the villain to comply or to change. Zen master is willing (310) to remain hopeful(310), he/she may reason(400) and understand(400) the villain, and even to forgive (350) and treat the villain with mercy(350).

Villain becomes Non-villain (non-dual)

But only when one reaches the state of Love, benign (500), he/she has transcended into non-duality. When you see with LOVE (500) and the attitude of benign, you no longer sees a villain.

Villain is now seen as a path and support for change and growth. Villain is teacher and dark angel.  Villain is a soul that play the roll that contributes to transformation. In this God-view, there is no villain, and there is no wrong doing. You see everything is perfect (600) and divine arrangement and everyone is exactly where they needed to be. you experience Joy(540), Serenity(540), and Bliss(600) no matter what external circumstance is.

Self checking

The above 4 stages of consciousness can co-exist within you simultaneously. For those who knows how to use pendulum or muscle test, we suggest that you take a self-check.

What percentage of my life attitude is a victim?

What percentage of my life attitude is a warrior?

What percentage of my life attitude is a Zen master?

What percentage of my life attitude has reached the non-dual state?

Your Choice of Game

There is no one better life attitude than another.  There is just your choice of game. If you are not enjoying the game, choose another. If you are enjoying the game, then stay a while. No one is there to judge you but yourself. Judgement is also part of the game.

Namaste! Choose your game.
